Jesus walked on water. George Washington couldn’t tell a lie. Davey Crockett killed his first bear when he was only three. Kim Jong Un played an 18 hole round of golf with a score of 17. And Jason Arday did all of the above and then some. Well, except that, unlike Washington, he could tell a lie.
Jesus was crucified. In the Jason Arday case the official cause of death has been listed as ridicule. As is well known, certain afflictions are almost exclusively race-specific. For blacks they include sickle cell anaemia and death by ridicule. Though for the latter, autism, apparently, can be a contributing factor.
The Jason Arday saga has split the ever-opining public, on both sides of the Atlantic, into pro and con, a.k.a. left and right, a.k.a. woke and un-. On this one I’m keeping my powder dry. Sorry. Not the best metaphor. But I was in a hurry this morning.

Paulosophical Vimplications 
1) As of this writing, I understand that the coroner has not yet released a cause of death. It might have been accidental. Perhaps alcohol poisoning. And then one might say, well stress caused him to drink. But he might not have had an intent to die. Maybe.
2) Some are describing Arday as a vulnerable person. If he overimbibed or some other accidental death, one wonders how he handled a full-time professorship and how he would have fared with a book tour. Maybe professors lie about the stress of course load.
Anyway. We are all vulnerable in some respect, and sometimes at particular times even a resilient person is tested. Stephen Hawking, another Cambridge professor, was certainly tested. If the Wikipedia report is true, Hawking MAY have endured 5 years of abuse without complaint.
Anyway. As noted, we’re all vulnerable in some respects and sometimes more so at particular times. Victims of cancel culture no less. And yet there are those smug about their participation in a cancelation and corresponding social media pile ons. Judge and jury, well those “vile” people get their just desserts. The dirty little hands of moral high dungeon.
