According to MSNBC, if Trump wins America will be a fascist dictatorship. According to Fox, if Harris wins it’ll be a communist dystopia. I suppose that without this hyperbolic awfulising American politics would be about as boring as, well, Canadian politics. And who wants that, right?

My wife is betting Trump. I’m betting Harris. We have $20 on it. Canadian dollars, so you can see how little skin we have in the game. That said, I’m the expert. She’s not. She’s almost always right. So much for expertise.

At first Trump had it in the bag. Then Harris replaced Biden. Then she was gaining. Then they were neck and neck. Now she’s pulled slightly ahead. There’s a debate coming up next month, which’ll be up against the start of the NFL season, so who knows if anyone will be watching.

Economies fluctuate with the alacrity of the weather. So, “It’s the economy stupid!”? No it’s not. It’s the Supreme Court. Thomas and Alito will survive another four years, but not another eight. So to flip the 6-3 to 4-5, women need a Democrat in the White House in ’28. So, I say to them, feel free to sit this one out. Just not the next one. Hmm …
